| Regarding anthranilic acid as a frequent constituent of many bioactive compounds possessing wide ranges of biological activities, and the nucleus of anthranilic acid is the biochemical precursor of amino acids themselves, their derivatives several alkaloids as well, four N-substituted derivatives of anthranilic acid were synthesized in good yields. The structures of the synthesized derivatives were confirmed by IR, 1H-NMR and MS. In bioactivity, the synthesized derivatives were evaluated for in vitro antifungal and antimicrobial properties on 5 fungal and 4 microbial strains. These derivatives showed no effect on bacteria but average inhibition on T.mentagrophytes and M. gypseum (compound 1 and 4). |
