Tóm tắt Enteric coating membrane for sustained-release hydrophilic matrix tablets of glipizide was formulated with hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and some other inactive ingredients. Influence of formulation factors on the drug release from the tablets was evaluated. Those significantly influenced the glipizide release were type and content of the enteric coating polymer, weight gain of the coating and ratio of channel agent. In contrary, stirring speed did not affect the drug release from the final formulation. The formulated tablets demonstrated the controlled drug release longer than 16 hs and dissolution in vitro similar to that of the reference osmotic pump tablets OZIDIA 10 mg.
