Advances in Chinese document and text processing / Cheng-Lin Liu, Yue Lu (editor) [Hoboken] New Jersey : World Scientific, 2017 viii, 284 pages. : illustrations ; cm. Ký hiệu phân loại (DDC): 006.35 The book is a collection of invited chapters by experts in Chinese document and text processing, and is part of a series on Language Processing, Pattern Recognition, and Intelligent Systems. The chapters introduce the latest advances and state-of-the-art methods for Chinese document image analysis and recognition, font design, text analysis and speaker recognition. Handwritten Chinese character recognition and text line recognition are at the core of document image analysis (DIA), and therefore, are addressed in four chapters for different scripts (online characters, offline characters, ancient characters, and text lines). Two chapters on character recognition pay much attention to deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs), which are widely used and performing superiorly in various pattern recognition problems. A chapter is contributed to describe a large handwriting database consisting both online and offline characters and text pages. Postal mail reading and writer identification, addressed in two chapters, are important applications of DIA. The collection can serve as reference for students and engineers in Chinese document and text processing and their applications. Số bản sách:

Comparable Corpora and Computer-assisted Translation Hoboken : John Wiley and Sons Inc, 2014 305 tr. ; cm. Ký hiệu phân loại (DDC): 407 Computer-assisted translation (CAT) has always used translation memories, which require the translator to have a corpus of previous translations that the CAT software can use to generate bilingual lexicons. This can be problematic when the translator does not have such a corpus, for instance, when the text belongs to an emerging field. To solve this issue, CAT research has looked into the leveraging of comparable corpora, i.e. a set of texts, in two or more languages, which deal with the same topic but are not translations of one another. This work had two primary objectives. The first is to assess the input of lexicons extracted from comparable corpora in the context of a specialized human translation task. The second objective is to identify bilingual-lexicon-extraction methods which best match the translators' needs, determining the current limits of these techniques and suggesting improvements. Modern language models and computation : theory with applications / Alexander Meduna, Ondřej Soukup Switzerland : Springer, 2017 xix, 548 pages : illustrations Ký hiệu phân loại (DDC): 401.51 This textbook gives a systematized and compact summary, providing the most essential types of modern models for languages and computation together with their properties and applications. Most of these models properly reflect and formalize current computational methods, based on parallelism, distribution and cooperation covered in this book. As a result, it allows the user to develop, study, and improve these methods very effectively. Số bản sách:
