Personalization has become an inevitable trend in all areas of life and education is also one of them. Personalized learning is a basic requirement of education 4.0, considered an educational method focusing on the needs, interests, goals and abilities of each learner. To assess the current situation of personalized learning support for students at Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the study collected survey responses from 400 students of two member universities, VNU University of Education (UEd) and University of Engineering and Technology (UET). The results show that there are five influential factors in supporting personalized learning for students, in descending order: (1) Learning support from instructors, (2) learners’ goals and progress, (3) Learners’ right to make choices about their learning, (4) Use of technology to access and support learning, (5) The connection of homework. The findings are considered a useful reference for managers in improving the effectiveness of personalized learning at universities in general and Vietnam National University, Hanoi in particular.

From the school year 2020-2021, the Ministry of Education and Training has begun to implement a new curriculum and new textbooks for grade 1, from 2021-2022 for grades 2 and 6, from 2022-2023 for grades 3, 7 and 10, 2023- 2024 for grades 4, 8, 11 and 2024-2025 for grades 5, 9 and 12. Assessment does not only involve knowledge and skills but also focuses on competencies and qualities. Therefore, teachers at all levels face many difficulties when assessing students’ competencies and qualities. The article summarizes the international experience related to the current teacher’s student assessment framework and gives recommendations for Vietnamese teachers. The research results are suggestions for teachers and educational managers in the process of developing teachers’ professional competence in the direction of developing students’ competencies and qualities to meet the goals of the 2018 General Education Curriculum.

The language development of 12-36 month-old children has a great impact on the formation and overall development of the child's personality. To develop language for children of this age group in a comprehensive, complete and appropriate manner, it is necessary to conduct an assessment of the child's language proficiency at each different stage in the period from 12-36 months. The article summarizes some theoretical issues about language capacity of 12-36- month-old children and the significance goals, content, and methods of assessing language capacity of 12-36 month-old children. Assessment of language ability is critical as a basis for building a plan to organize language development activities for children and to improve and innovate content and methods with the aim of effectively promoting children’s language development.
