The asthma management strategy at respiratory departments in Vietnam so far does not include the implementation of an asthma action plan (AAP). This study aimed to implement an AAP in the hospital and analyze the acceptability for the implementation procedures of patients, clinicians and asthma management units. The implementation consisted of 2 phases. Phase 1 was a cross-sectional design that combined quantitative and qualitative methods to assess the asthma control and analyse potential obstacles of the hospital for AAP implementation. Phase 2 was a pre-experimental design to assess the acceptability in implementing the APP. Asthma control was assessed by GINA’s criteria. Implementation strategies included interventions at both organization (issued a procedure and a guideline of consulting the AAP for patients) and individual levels (trained doctors in counseling and monitoring of AAP for patients; provided instruction lea ets of APP for patients). The study showed the importance of deployment of AAP for asthma patients in Vietnam hospitals. It is essential to provide more sta s for the asthma and COPD management units, especially trained nurses.

Present about acute poisoning constitutes a major cause of emergencies in Vietnam, especially in older people withmany risk factors. The purpose of this study was to assess the clinical characteristics and the treatment ofacute poisoning in older people admitted to Vietnam Poison Control Center (PCC). A retrospective descriptivestudy was conducted at the PCC from January to August 2019 with 275 acute poisoned patients aged 60 andover. The questionnaire collected data was based on IPCS format. Redcap and SPSS software were used foranalysis. The majority of patients was admitted in moderate condition (47.5%). The intentional poisoned patientswere more severe than unintentional patients. The most common treatment was support therapy, gastric lavage single dosage of activated charcoal, modified diuresis, and use of antivenom. The enhance elimination methodssuch as hemodialysis, hemoperfusion were less used in elderly with acute poisoning. The majority of patientsrecovered completely after treatment (52.7%). The study revealed clinical features and the management ofacute poisoning in older people at the PCC.

Acute cerebral stroke is an increasingly common disease with high mortality and disability. Understandings on the clinical characteristics of the acute cerebral stroke patients are of importance in ensuring the evidence-based planning and development of the stroke prevention program in low- and middle- income countries, inclusing Vietnam. This manuscript aims to describe the characteristics of acute cerebral stroke patients admitted to Pho Noi General Hospital in the period of 2018 - 2020.

Patients with acute cerebral stroke at Pho Noi General Hospital have similar clinical characteristics to previous studies. Barriers to the timely treatment and prevention of acute cerebral stroke patients at Pho Noi hospital should be further studied and addressed.

Co-design has been developed long time ago, however its application in health care has started recently. The involvement of ‘patient’, ‘stakeholder’, or ‘public’ in designing and redesigning healthcare services is the signature of co-design approaches. While it is hard to define the most effective co-design approach to use, healthcare providers, health researchers and health policymakers should prioritise services-users’ perspectives and needs as well as consider contextual factors in health care in Vietnam.
