Communication complexity / Eyal Kushilevitz, Noam Nisan Cambridge : Cambridge University Press, 1997 189 p. ; 24 cm. Ký hiệu phân loại (DDC): 004.6 Many aspects of the internal and external workings of computers can be viewed as a series of communication processes. Communication complexity is the mathematical theory of such communication processes. It is also often used as an abstract model of other aspects of computation. This book surveys this mathematical theory, concentrating on the question of how much communication is necessary for any particular process. The first part of the book is devoted to the simple two-party model introduced by Yao in 1979, which is still the most widely studied model. The second part treats newer models developed to deal with more complicated communication processes. Finally, applications of these models, including computer networks, VLSI circuits, and data structures, are treated in the third part of the book. This is an essential resource for graduate students and researchers in theoretical computer science, circuits, networks and information theory. Số bản sách:

Fundamentals of Logic Design / Jr. Charles H. Roth, Larry L Kinney Stamford, CT : Cengage Learning, 2014 813p. ; 24 cm. Ký hiệu phân loại (DDC): 621.395 The book covers such fundamental concepts as Boolean algebra, logic gates design, flip-flops, and state machines. By combining flip-flops with networks of logic gates, students will learn to design counters, adders, sequence detectors, and simple digital systems. After covering the basics, this text presents modern design techniques using programmable logic devices and the VHDL hardware description language. Số bản sách:

Introduction to Logic Circuits & Logic Design With Verilog / Brock J LaMeres Cham, Switzerland : Springer, 2017 468 pages. : illustrations Ký hiệu phân loại (DDC): 621.395 This textbook for courses in Digital Systems Design introduces students to the fundamental hardware used in modern computers. Coverage includes both the classical approach to digital system design (i.e., pen and paper) in addition to the modern hardware description language (HDL) design approach (computer-based). Using this textbook enables readers to design digital systems using the modern HDL approach, but they have a broad foundation of knowledge of the underlying hardware and theory of their designs. This book is designed to match the way the material is actually taught in the classroom. Topics are presented in a manner which builds foundational knowledge before moving onto advanced topics. The author has designed the presentation with learning Goals and assessment at its core. Each section addresses a specific learning outcome that the student should be able to "do" after its completion. The concept checks and exercise problems provide a rich set of assessment tools to measure student performance on each outcome. · Written the way the material is taught, enabling a bottom-up approach to learning which culminates with a high-level of learning, with a solid foundation; · Emphasizes examples from which students can learn: contains a solved example for nearly every section in the book; · Includes more than 600 exercise problems, as well as concept check questions for each section, tied directly to specific learning outcomes.
