Energy harvesting and energy efficiency : technology, methods, and applications / Nicu Bizon; Naser Mahdavi Tabatabaei; Frede Blaabjerg; Erol Kurt Switzerland : Springer, 2017 673 pages. : illustrations Ký hiệu phân loại (DDC): 621.042 This book presents basic and advanced concepts for energy harvesting and energy efficiency, as well as related technologies, methods, and their applications. The book provides up-to-date knowledge and discusses the state-of-the-art equipment and methods used for energy harvesting and energy efficiency, combining theory and practical applications. Containing over 200 illustrations and problems and solutions, the book begins with overview chapters on the status quo in this field. Subsequent chapters introduce readers to advanced concepts and methods. In turn, the final part of the book is dedicated to technical strategies, efficient methods and applications in the field of energy efficiency, which also makes it of interest to technicians in industry. The book tackles problems commonly encountered using basic methods of energy harvesting and energy efficiency, and proposes advanced methods to resolve these issues. All the methods proposed have been validated through simulation and experimental results. These "hot topics" will continue to be of interest to scientists and engineers in future decades and will provide challenges to researchers around the globe as issues of climate change and changing energy policies become more pressing. Here, readers will find all the basic and advanced concepts they need. As such, it offers a valuable, comprehensive guide for all students and practicing engineers who wishing to learn about and work in these fields Số bản sách:

Fundamentals of heat and mass transfer / Theodore L. Bergman ...[et al] Hoboken, NJ : Wiley, 2011 xxiii, 1048 pages. : illustrations ; 26 cm. Ký hiệu phân loại (DDC): 621.4 Fundamentals of Heat and Mass Transfer, 7th Edition is the gold standard of heat transfer pedagogy for more than 30 years, with a commitment to continuous improvement by four authors having more than 150 years of combined experience in heat transfer education, research and practice. Using a rigorous and systematic problem-solving methodology pioneered by this text, it is abundantly filled with examples and problems that reveal the richness and beauty of the discipline. This edition maintains its foundation in the four central learning objectives for students and also makes heat and mass transfer more approachable with an additional emphasis on the fundamental concepts, as well as highlighting the relevance of those ideas with exciting applications to the most critical issues of today and the coming decades: energy and the environment. An updated version of Interactive Heat Transfer (IHT) software makes it even easier to efficiently and accurately solve problems. Số bản sách:

Fundamentals of momentum, heat, and mass transfer / James R Welty, Gregory L Rorrer, David G Foster Hoboken, NJ : John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2019 x, 583, P-118, A-54, I-5 pages. : illustrations ; 26 cm. Ký hiệu phân loại (DDC): 620.1 Fundamentals of Momentum, Heat and Mass Transfer offers a systematic introduction to transport phenomena and rate processes. Thorough coverage of central principles helps students build a foundational knowledge base while developing vital analysis and problem solving skills. Momentum, heat, and mass transfer are introduced sequentially for clarity of concept and logical organization of processes, while examples of modern applications illustrate real-world practices and strengthen student comprehension. Designed to keep the focus on concept over content, this text uses accessible language and efficient pedagogy to streamline student mastery and facilitate further exploration. Abundant examples, practice problems, and illustrations reinforce basic principles, while extensive tables simplify comparisons of the various states of matter. Detailed coverage of topics including dimensional analysis, viscous flow, conduction, convection, and molecular diffusion provide broadly-relevant guidance for undergraduates at the sophomore or junior level, with special significance to students of chemical, mechanical, environmental, and biochemical engineering. Fundamentals of momentum, heat, and mass transfer / James R Welty; Gregory L Rorrer; David G Foster Hoboken, NJ : John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2019 x, 583, P-118, A-54, I-5 pages. : illustrations ; 26 cm. Ký hiệu phân loại (DDC): 620.1 "Momentum transfer in a fluid involves the study of the motion of fluids and the forces that produce these motions. From Newton's second law of motion it is known that force is directly related to the time rate of change of momentum of a system. Excluding action-at-a-distance forces, such as gravity, the forces acting on a fuid, such as those resulting from pressure and shear stress, may be shown to be the result of microscopic (molecular) transfer of momentum. Thus, the subject under consideration, which is historically fluid mechanics, may equally be termed momentum transfer. The history of fluid mechanics shows the skillful blending of the nineteenth- and twentieth-century analytical work in hydrodynamics with the empirical knowledge in hydraulics that man has collected over the ages. The mating of these separately developed disciplines was started by Ludwig Prandtl in 1904 with his boundary-layer theory, which was verifed by experiment. Modern fluid mechanics, or momentum transfer, is both analytical and experimental" Số bản sách:
