Currently, with the expansion of many disciplines at higher education institutions, learners have opportunities to choose universities and majors that are suitable for their needs, interests and career orientations. In addition, the trend of financial autonomy of public universities has forced these schools to increase enrollment quotas, expand the training scale in many different directions, creating fierce competition among universities in recruitment. Therefore, the identification of factors affecting students' decision to choose a university is crucial with universities. This study examines the factors affecting students' decision to choose a university. Survey questionnaires were sent directly to first-year students at a number of universities in Hanoi, Vietnam. The results show that the characteristics of the university, the advice of relatives and friends, their own abilities, the reputation of the university, the university's promotion efforts and the prospective school's supporting activities have impacts on students' decision to choose a university.

This study investigates the perceptions of English major students at Nguyen Tat Thanh University regarding the use of ChatGPT in developing their writing skills. It also explores the factors influencing these perceptions, including the strengths and weaknesses associated with the integration of ChatGPT into their learning processes. This study employed a quantitative approach, surveying English major students from first to fourth year. The findings reveal that students primarily perceive ChatGPT as a beneficial tool for enhancing their writing abilities, particularly in generating learning materials, providing constructive feedback, and suggesting reading resources. However, concerns about over-reliance on ChatGPT and potential academic integrity issues were also noted. Additionally, the study identifies critical factors that influence students' perceptions, such as the importance of understanding ChatGPT‟s limitations, the need for specific prompts, and the role of teachers in guiding and encouraging appropriate usage. These insights highlight the evolving role of AI in academic writing and underscore the necessity for strategic implementation to maximize its benefits while mitigating potential drawbacks.

Currently, data mining and knowledge discovery are areas of interest to scientists. The applications of data mining are implemented in many different fields such as: education, healthcare, finance, banking, trading, etc. Particularly in the field of education, the application of data mining has obtained multiple practical results. This study presents a 6-step data mining process and applies this process to predict the likelihood of on-time graduation of Computer Science students at Dong Thap University. The results obtained will help students timely determine their possibility to graduate on time so that they can adjust their study plans accordingly, thereby increasing the proportion of students graduating on time, improving the learning quality and training efficiency of the school.

Present about a cross-sectional descriptive study with a target to describe eating habits, hygiene practices, physical exercise and some associated factors among school students aged 13-17 at Hai Phong in 2017. A sample of 1548 students participated in the survey using self-reported questionnaires. Results show that most students eating fruits and vegetables < 5 times/day (75.2%), and 23.4% of students drank carbonated soft drinks ≥ 1 time/day. 43.2% of students did not usually wash hand before eating and after using the toilet and 34.9% did not usually wash hand with soap. Most students did physical activity less than 5 days/week (77.9%); 43.3% of students did not walk or cycle to school, and 36.4% did not play sport (during 7 days). Risk factors that increase improper health behavior include students in the age group 16-17, educational attainment of a parent who has not graduated from high school, being overweight/obese and not being educated health. The intervention of school families and society is needed to improve students' health behaviors.

Students are widely recognized as a crucial demographic for the development of a nation. Nevertheless, there is a dearth of comprehensive studies examining social issues that are of concern to students. This paper aims to contribute to bridging this research gap. Our research employs a combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, conducted at a national level. The findings of the research indicate a significant level of interest among Vietnamese students in social issues that directly pertain to their own circumstances. These issues encompass concerns over “job security,” “natural disasters and epidemics,” “environmental pollution,” as well as the impact of social networks. Based on the findings of this research, it is recommended that the university and associated organizations establish platforms for students to articulate their perspectives on matters that are of relevance to them to subsequently advocate for the active involvement of students in addressing contemporary social problems.
