STEM education is suitable to developing learners' ability, it is a trend that Vietnam and many countries worldwide are focusing on. Implementing STEM in subjects is an essential form of education in high schools. This article proposes teaching processes that include organized STEM education activities to stimulate students' ability to representation knowledge and skills; proposes some STEM activities in teaching topic “Substances are all around us” (the 6th-grade Natural science curriculum); designs illustrative lesson plans, and conducts expert assessments and pedagogical experiments. The results obtained demonstrate that the proposed measures are feasible and suitable for the goal of developing students' ability to representation knowledge and skills. Organizing STEM educational activities in teaching the topic “Substances are all around us” is feasible and effective in developing students' abilities to representation knowledge and skills.

Speech is an important area of children's development. Children's speech development has been studied for a long time and in many different languages around the world. Six studies on speech development of Vietnamese- speaking children conducted in Vietnam were found. Using content analysis, 5 main themes were concluded. General information (author, year, publication) were outlined. Participants’ demographic characteristics (location, spoken dialect, sample size, age, sex, status of socio-economic, development, hearing, oral motor) were described. Method to elicit of speech samples was described, including research design, technique, elicitation tool, scoring, transcription, reliability and examiners. Different speech analysis were addressed, including percentage of phonemes correct, phonological processes, criteria for age of acquisition. A synthesis of results including the percentage of correct phonemes, phoneme processing processes, and age of acquisition was presented. Given on the review results, the article discusses the gap and provides directions for future research on the speech development of Vietnamese-speaking children.

Designing and using a system of reading comprehension exercises for story texts in elementary schools is very necessary in the teaching process towards capacity development. However, in reality, many teachers do not master how to design and use this type of exercise. This article presents the principles, design process and how to choose and use story text comprehension exercises for first grade students. Research results show that designing and using reading comprehension exercises for story texts in the direction of developing capacity enhances attraction, maximizes the central role of learners, and trains skills and abilities. students' use of Vietnamese, contributing to improving the quality of teaching reading comprehension of story texts in first grade in particular and elementary schools in general.

In 2018, the general education Curriculum was promulgated and is currently being implemented at all educational levels. This brings about numerous benefits via integrating the STEM education model into learning subjects and topics, contributing to the development of students’ character and competence. The article evaluates the effectiveness of teachers’ applying STEM education in teaching and the conditions for implementing STEM education in high schools using a questionnaire combined with in-depth interviews. The research results indicate that students actively engage in lessons and achieve the learning objectives, as well as improve critical skills. Furthermore, many objective factors must be considered when using methods, tools, and learning materials suitable for different student groups. The survey results provide a practical basis to help educational institutions enhance STEM teaching in terms of content, methods, forms, and teaching conditions.

Students are widely recognized as a crucial demographic for the development of a nation. Nevertheless, there is a dearth of comprehensive studies examining social issues that are of concern to students. This paper aims to contribute to bridging this research gap. Our research employs a combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, conducted at a national level. The findings of the research indicate a significant level of interest among Vietnamese students in social issues that directly pertain to their own circumstances. These issues encompass concerns over “job security,” “natural disasters and epidemics,” “environmental pollution,” as well as the impact of social networks. Based on the findings of this research, it is recommended that the university and associated organizations establish platforms for students to articulate their perspectives on matters that are of relevance to them to subsequently advocate for the active involvement of students in addressing contemporary social problems.

Currently, with the expansion of many disciplines at higher education institutions, learners have opportunities to choose universities and majors that are suitable for their needs, interests and career orientations. In addition, the trend of financial autonomy of public universities has forced these schools to increase enrollment quotas, expand the training scale in many different directions, creating fierce competition among universities in recruitment. Therefore, the identification of factors affecting students' decision to choose a university is crucial with universities. This study examines the factors affecting students' decision to choose a university. Survey questionnaires were sent directly to first-year students at a number of universities in Hanoi, Vietnam. The results show that the characteristics of the university, the advice of relatives and friends, their own abilities, the reputation of the university, the university's promotion efforts and the prospective school's supporting activities have impacts on students' decision to choose a university.

Currently, data mining and knowledge discovery are areas of interest to scientists. The applications of data mining are implemented in many different fields such as: education, healthcare, finance, banking, trading, etc. Particularly in the field of education, the application of data mining has obtained multiple practical results. This study presents a 6-step data mining process and applies this process to predict the likelihood of on-time graduation of Computer Science students at Dong Thap University. The results obtained will help students timely determine their possibility to graduate on time so that they can adjust their study plans accordingly, thereby increasing the proportion of students graduating on time, improving the learning quality and training efficiency of the school.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been increasingly attracting considerable attention in many fields, and education is no exception. This article focuses on the use of the ChatGPT artificial intelligence language model in the field of education, at Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. The survey results with 584 students showed that ChatGPT has been gaining popularity and widely used as a learning and research support tool. However, the article also points out 5 limitations that students at Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City often encounter when using ChatGPT. The results indicate that ChatGPT has become a useful tool for students in the learning and research process, but its use requires consideration, responsibility and preparation of necessary practical skills. This study is the basis for future research to find solutions to improve students' experience when using ChatGPT.

Integrated teaching is one of the competency-based approaches, fulfilling the requirements of reducing students’ workload and avoiding knowledge duplication between subjects. The primary education curriculum is integrated, so primary school teachers need to have integrated teaching competency to meet the requirements for professional competencies according to the 2018 General Education Curriculum. Based on the legal basis for integrated teaching, the authors proposed a basic integrated teaching competency framework specifically for students majoring in Primary Education, thereby building an integrated teaching capacity development process. including 8 steps. Each step of the process has a specific position and role to help students fulfill the criteria in the integrated teaching competency framework. Applying the process synchronously will guarantee high efficiency in developing integrated teaching capacity for Primary Education students, meeting the requirements for teaching in primary schools.
