Albendazole tablets were prepared for higher drug dissolution by wet granulation. Effects of the excipients, particularly the superdisintegrants and surfactants, on dissolution of albendazole were assessed. The tablet formula of the highest dissolution released albendazole over 98 % after 30 minutes, compared to 93 % from the reference Zentel tablets (of which the tablet specications well satistified the requirements of the Vietnamese Pharmacopoeia V, as: at pH 1.2, after 30 minutes, the drug dissolution attains > 80 %).

To overcome the poor water-solubility of Cefpodoxime proxetil, particular tablets were prepared by dry-granulation. The formulation was aimed at improving the drug dissolution and enhancing its oral bioavailability. Study on the influence of formulation factors proved the surface-active ingredients and surper-disintegrants affected strongly the drug dissolution, particulary in the dry-granulation method. In consequenve, an suitable formulation was established for cefpodoxime tablets, that has the same disolution profile as the reference tablets, meeting the requirements of the USP XXXII.
