On the side of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, there was Dr. Tran Ai Cam, Principal of the University along with heads and deputy heads of units, faculties, institutes, departments and offices.
The training session was also honored to welcome three speakers to present their papers, namely Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ha Nam, Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation, Hanoi National University; Mr. Le Trung Nghia, Deputy Director of the Institute for Research, Training and Development of Open Educational Resources, Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges; Dr. Nguyen Kim Quoc, Head of the Faculty of Information Technology, Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
Speaking at the opening of the training program, Dr. Pham Hai Son, Deputy Director of the Information Technology Center, Ministry of Science and Technology, hoped that the training session would spread the creativity and potential of AI in scientific research and open education, aiming at the practical application of AI in research and education. Dr. Pham Hai Son also hoped that with the extensive experience of the experts, the training session would be successful and bring practical value to learners.

Dr. Pham Hai Son, Deputy Director of Information Technology Center, Ministry of Science and Technology, delivered the opening speech of the program.
On behalf of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Dr. Tran Ai Cam expressed his thanks to the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Center for Information Technology, reporters and experts for attending the program. Dr. Tran Ai Cam said that the training session was a valuable opportunity to connect, exchange experiences and jointly create solutions for applying AI and technology in research, teaching and university administration. Nguyen Tat Thanh University hopes to continue to receive the attention, companionship and sharing of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Center for Information Technology of universities, research institutes and experts to jointly promote the spirit of openness in science and education in Vietnam.

Dr. Tran Ai Cam - Principal of the School spoke at the program
At the training session, 3 reports were presented, the first was the presentation on AI application in testing and assessment by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ha Nam. In his presentation, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ha Nam systematically presented the role and potential of artificial intelligence in innovation in testing and assessment of education. From reviewing the history of the development of intelligent learning support systems to current application trends, the report clarified the limitations of traditional assessment methods and pointed out how AI can improve objectivity, efficiency and personalization. The presentation introduced outstanding solutions such as automatic scoring using NLP, data-driven adaptive testing, online anti-cheating monitoring systems, learning data analysis and personalized feedback chatbots. These technologies not only optimize the assessment process but also support teachers and administrators to make more accurate decisions. The conclusion of the paper emphasized that AI application needs to be accompanied by appropriate infrastructure, data security and team training to ensure effective and sustainable implementation in the context of digital transformation of education.

Next is the presentation on AI contents in the document “Open Educational Resources Competency Framework for Lecturers V3.0 ” presented by Mr. Le Trung Nghia. In it, he especially emphasized the urgency of integrating artificial intelligence content into the “Open Educational Resources Competency Framework for Lecturers V3.0” in the context of AI reshaping the entire educational ecosystem and digital knowledge. The report also clarifies the role of AI in the development of Open Educational Resources, updates international AI competency frameworks, and introduces “CC Signals” as a new social contract to ensure transparency, fairness and responsibility in the use of AI data, content and technology. Including AI content in the competency framework is practical and timely, helping lecturers grasp the necessary competencies to apply and develop open educational resources in teaching, learning and research.

Mr. Le Trung Nghia
Representing Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Dr. Nguyen Kim Quoc, Head of the Faculty of Information Technology, introduced the presentation on the AI Ecosystem for Training and Research at Nguyen Tat Thanh University . According to Dr. Nguyen Kim Quoc, the artificial intelligence ecosystem at Nguyen Tat Thanh University is built on 5 pillars: data, technology - platform, people - digital culture, operating processes and management strategies. From this foundation, AI is widely applied in training with functions such as setting output standards, designing training programs, compiling outlines - lectures, personalizing learning paths, creating practice exercises, supporting grading, predicting learning outcomes, deploying virtual assistants and building interactive learning environments via VR/AR. In scientific research, AI plays the role of a comprehensive “academic assistant”, supporting document review, problem detection, defining research objectives and scope, method selection, model design, data analysis and writing and international publication support. The paper affirms that AI is creating a strong shift for higher education, along with the requirement to invest in infrastructure, improve staff capacity and ensure ethics and data security to effectively exploit the potential that technology brings.

Dr. Nguyen Kim Quoc, Head of Information Technology Department
After the reports, the training session continued with a lively discussion session where lecturers and researchers discussed practical applications of AI in training and research. Many questions related to AI implementation in program design, personalization of learning paths, and data security were answered in detail by experts.
