NTTU –  Nguyen Tat Thanh University announces PhD enrollment in 2025 for the following majors  : Information  Technology,  Tourism, Business Administration and Banking and Finance

Details are as follows:

III. General requirements for candidates:

1. Have a master's degree suitable for the major applied for. In case of not having a master's degree, must have a bachelor's degree with honors or higher in a major suitable for the major applied for, or graduate with a level equivalent to level 7 according to the Vietnamese National Qualifications Framework in a number of specialized training majors suitable for doctoral training;
2. Have research experience demonstrated through a master's thesis of a research-oriented training program; or published scientific articles and reports; or have worked for 02 years (24 months) or more; be a lecturer or researcher at training institutions, scientific and technological organizations;
3. Have a PhD application form, a draft/essay on the research plan, clearly presenting the research topic or field, the reasons for choosing the research field, goals and desired achievements, the reasons for choosing the School; expected study and research plan for the entire course to be implemented in each period of the training period; the candidate's experiences, knowledge, understanding and preparations in the intended research problem or field; expected job after graduation; proposed supervisor.
4. Have sufficient foreign language proficiency to consult documents, participate in international professional activities serving scientific research and carry out thesis topics as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 7 of Circular 18/2021/TT-BGDDT dated June 28, 2021 of the Ministry of Education and Training.
5. Applicants who are foreign citizens and register to study a doctoral training program in Vietnamese must have a Vietnamese language certificate of at least level 4 or higher according to the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework for Foreigners and must meet the second foreign language requirements decided by the Principal, except in the case of being a native speaker of the language used in the doctoral training program.

IV. Training form and duration

1. The training time for a doctoral degree for a master's degree holder is 3 years (36 months) of continuous training; for a university degree holder is 4 years (48 months) of continuous training.
2. Doctoral training is conducted in a full-time form; doctoral students must spend enough time studying and researching at the School according to the approved plan; in which, when registering for 30 credits in one academic year, it is determined to be full-time.

2. Scientific CV of the candidate (according to form  BMTS02 - Scientific CV , certified by the agency/locality, with stamp on the photo);
3. Confirmation of work ( according to form  BMTS03 - Confirmation of work experience );
4. Copy of university diploma, copy of university transcript ( if studying from university );
5. Copy of Master's degree, copy of Master's transcript;
6. Copy of foreign language diploma and certificate;
7. Transcript of supplementary or transfer courses ( if any );
8. 05 essays on research direction ( according to form  BMTS06 - Research thesis form );
9. Copies of the applicant's scientific research works;
10. Full-course study plan, with the instructor's consent ( according to form  BMTS05a - Mathematical study and research plan - Master's degree  or  BMTS05b - Mathematical study and research plan - Master's degree );
11. Scientific background of the instructor;
12. Copies of scientific research works of the instructor (if the lecturer is from outside NTTU);
13. 02 recommendation letters from scientists in the same field ( according to form  BMTS04 - Recommendation letter );
14. Certificate of policy subject ( if any );
15. 02 3×4 photos (write full name and date of birth on the back of the photo).

*  Note  :​

• Application documents will not be returned if the candidate is not admitted.
• While receiving admission documents, if the school discovers any false information that affects the admission results, the candidate's name will be removed from the admission list.

VIII. Evaluation of application documents, including the following contents:

1. Qualifications and training results: Evaluation of qualifications and learning results of candidates at undergraduate and master's levels. Priority is given to suitable subjects.
2. Scientific articles or reports: Evaluated based on the prestige of the journal or scientific conference or seminar, the suitability with the research direction and registered industry of the applicant, the quality of the article, etc.
3. Foreign language proficiency.
4. Evaluation, comments and support for the candidate in the recommendation letter: Based on the reputation of the recommender; content of the recommendation (profound or sketchy comments, showing the level of interest of the recommender in the candidate)

IX. Evaluation of research proposal:

Quality of research proposal: Evaluated based on the persuasiveness in the way the applicant raises the research problem; the depth and comprehensiveness of the overview of relevant theories and research; the scientific nature of the research objectives and questions (clear), the proposed research method (appropriate), the research plan (feasible); the tight, logical and persuasive presentation of other contents...

Candidates present their research proposal and implementation plan to the professional subcommittee that examines graduate students.
