In order to implement  Decision 1117/QD-TTg dated September 25, 2023 of the Prime Minister  approving the Program to build an open educational resources model in higher education, Nguyen Tat Thanh University organized a series of Open Educational Resources (OER) exploitation practice classes for the school's staff and lecturers,  with a common theoretical part for all courses and was conducted on April 26, 2024 .

TNGDM No. 4/2024 practical mining course takes place on May 24 and 31, 2024.

Practice content on May 24, 2024 includes : 

1. Open licensing using license generator/selector

2. Sharing openly licensed resources on the Internet

3. Search and download using CC openly licensed content

   • Stock images: Creative Commons and Google image search engines, Noun Project.

   • Video with repositories: YouTube and Vimeo (Vimeo Creative Commons) along with creating a user account on Vimeo Creative Commons.

   • Audio repositories: YouTube, Musopen, ccMixter

   • Text repositories: books, textbooks, magazines: OpenStax, LibreText, Open Texbook Library, BCCampus, Edtech Books, Global Digital Library, DOAB, DOAJ, Unpaywall tool .vv and some Open Source Hardware repositories.

   • Data: Zenodo, OpenAIRE, European Open Data Portal .etc

Practical content on May 31, 2024 includes:

1. Create, customize, modify, mix: the tools

   1. Document:

      • Drafting sample documents for open licensing with LibreOffice Writer

      • Create ePub eBooks in LibreOffice Writer with Writer2ePub

   2. Image: Use Screenshot to take screenshots of different types/formats

   3. Audio: Use Audacity to edit audio and record

   4. Video:

      • Use Vokoscreen and Kazam to record activities or lectures on your computer screen, including images, sounds and movements.

      • Use OpenShot to compose videos from openly licensed resources available in Internet repositories and self-created resources; upload created videos to YouTube and Vimeo Creative Commons; license created videos; share created videos on the Internet.
